ETMM Racer Stats 06-07 |
 |
 |
We had some changes to the
Sugar race results and they are above. None of the changes affected ETMM
directly, but there was a big change in the Northern division team title with
Winston-Salem now in 1st place and Greensboro in 2nd. If
you want more info on what happened read the email below or see me later, I
don’t want to explain it in email format in more detail than is shown here; all
I can say is there was a lot of debate over the last week on this issue and it
is now resolved.

Subject: The FINAL Sugar results
Race Directors—
Thank you for all your input
and voting so promptly on the final results. Here’s the tally—
Option 1—leave results as they
were at awards on Sunday. 2 votes
Option 2—change Doug LaRoe and
Al Johnson’s times as shown in the Sugar timing logs. 5 votes
Option 3—option 2 with
adjustments to 5 additonal racers with inconsistent results. 2 votes
Option 4—throw out second run
on Sunday in both divisions. 4 votes
One abstention.
One vote not received.
The final decision—option 2.
The results have been re-run and are attached. This option caused a change in
the run #2 times/handicaps/individual points for Doug LaRoe and Al Johnson. It
also caused a one point loss for Greensboro and a one point gain for Asheville
team scores, resulting in a tie between Greensboro and Winston-Salem for first
place in the Northern Division. The tie-breaking calculation is stated in the
CSC Racing Rules, Section 12.0, paragraph 10.
If at the end of the regular season, two teams or more are tied in points, then
the tie will be broken by adding up the total of the average points of each team
for each race. The team with the highest average of all the races will be the
winner of the tie and the regular season winner.
The tie breaking calculation is
in the attached spreadsheet. In case you can’t open the spreadsheet—
